In late October, Kenneth and Demetrice Dalton of Our Story, Inc. convened with long-standing residents of Black Springs, Nevada, to document the community's rich history and enduring spirit. Gathering at the local community center, they engaged with individuals such as Thurman and Mae Carthen, Matthew Moore, Roy and Shelley Moore, and Carrie Townsell-Fitz. These conversations unveiled narratives of resilience, from constructing roads out of rocks to hauling water from town, highlighting the collective efforts that shaped Black Springs. The residents' stories reflect a deep commitment to community, showcasing how mutual support and determination overcame infrastructural and social challenges.
